Not often you hear this but the lovely Sussex track of Fontwell Park takes centre stage in the UK as it stages the Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle. 

A fascinating race with plenty of ‘stat’ angles’. Lough Derg has won the race over the last 2 years but has not looked quite the same force this year and could well be taken on for the lead by Golan Way.

A difficult race to call but the application of first time blinkers to Trenchant may just boost the chances of the undoubtedly talented Trenchant.
